\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Choose a name for you dive in&nbsp;<strong>Name<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Format<\/strong>: select \u201cExFAT\u201d or \u201cMS DOS FAT\u201d<br>If you choose FAT, you only can use 32GB of your drive if your drive is larger than 32 GB.<br>But ExFAT is not supported by all DJ equipment (see explanation above).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Scheme<\/strong>: select \u201cMaster Boot Record\u201d.&nbsp;<br><strong>IMPORTANT<\/strong>: you will miss this option if you selected the partition instead of the drive in the previous step.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Now click on the \u201c<strong>Erase<\/strong>\u201d button below the formatting options.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image Windows built-in tools.<br>So we need third party software called \u201cFat32 Format\u201d (download:  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk\/index.htm?guiformat.htm\">http:\/\/www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk\/index.htm?guiformat.htm<\/a> )<br>We can also format smaller drives with Fat32 Format, so this is the method I\u2019m going to use for this tutorial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Be aware that formatting drives larger than 32GB isn&#8217;t officially supported by Pioneer and Microsoft.<br>You might run into issues with corrupt USB drives down the line.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Before we start, make sure Rekordbox is closed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Insert your USB drive<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make sure all your Explorer windows are closed, otherwise you can\u2019t format the drive<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Start <strong>Fat32 Format<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"629\" height=\"613\"
